Time to Talk Befriending

Description

There are many great charities in Brighton and Hove who need volunteers to support their work. We honestly couldn’t overcome loneliness without our 500+ strong team of befrienders! But in this current climate volunteer applications are slow so we wanted to share today what befriending means to our volunteers and scheme members in the hope that you might feel inspired to join us!

Honestly, all you need to give is an hour of your time once a week or fortnight and what you get in return will be hugely rewarding! But don’t just take our word for it here’s what our Time to Talk Befriending community say:

If you can describe befriending in 3 words, what would they be?

“Enriching, enjoyable, fun (we laugh a lot)”.

What is your experience of the charity?

“We are both impressed with how well Time to Talk Befriending is organised and very appreciative of your thoughtful approach with us all”.

How has befriending made a difference?

“I didn’t used to care if I lived or died. Now I want to live forever!”

We offer a range of joy-filled befriending activities for older people. Together with our volunteers of all ages we overcome loneliness.

If you would like to join a community of people who care, or if you would like to find out more about what we do, please don’t hesitate to contact us today!
